Whilst Chamonix is best known for the Tour of Mont Blanc, there are many other single and multi-day hikes to do around the area as well which are worth your consideration.

Single Day Hikes

These hikes have no need for special gear such as ropes or crampons and we can adjust multi-day hikes to even include rest days at hotels and visits to other mountain resorts.  Personal luggage transfer can also be arranged to have fresh clothing or other non-essential ‘comfort’ items meet you at certain points on many of the tours.

If there are certain alpine animals or plants you wish to see such as ibex or marmot we will arrange a hike that makes it the most likely for you to see these animals, flowers etc. depending upon the season and your group’s hiking capabilities.

Most multi-day tours can be done as a ‘full traditional tour’ or flexibly in a ‘highlights’ version using public transport between certain sections of the ‘best points’ on the hike, allowing you to see more in less time, or to take rest days to explore interesting alpine towns in the tour. We can also recommend places to see on your rest days, such as visits to thermal spas for relaxing your muscles or to visit historical sites.

Prices

Single day hikes are €160 per day with a group limit of 8 people per guide. For larger groups, we can arrange an additional hiking guide and will split the group by ability level (suggested) or as you wish. Use our Enquiry Form to find out more.

Longer tours are quoted upon request as the prices can vary depending upon length of time you want to hike, and ‘comfort level’ desired in your accommodation choices. The price quoted will include your hiking guide, lodging and breakfast and dinner at mountain refuges or hotels, lodging and breakfast on any non-hiking ‘rest days’ covered in the tour dates. Normally lunches are at your charge. You will be told if you should carry a packed picnic lunch or if we will visit a refuge or buvette where lunch can be purchased.  We can also optionally arrange transfers to/from Geneva to Chamonix using one of several fully registered airport transfer services and optionally arrange places for you to stay in Chamonix before and/or after your tour.
