About our flat

Are you looking for vacation accommodations in the French Alps ? We can help ! Our two bedroom apartment sleeps 1-6 people and is available for rental by the week in spring through autumn, and on a seasonal basis in winter. We rent the apartment for 6 guests, however the spare double sofa bed allows a maximum of 8 persons to sleep comfortably if you will host any short-term guests during your stay.

Close to shops, yet private

This apartment is located in the center of the alpine town of Chamonix and close to everything, and yet is quiet, peaceful and tucked away from the main street, set along the beautiful glacially fed Arve river. Our private balcony has views of Mont Blanc and catches the morning and early afternoon sun. Free high speed password-protected wireless internet allows you to touch base with the ‘real world’ when you need it.

Close to hiking paths, lifts and transportation

You will be  only a 5 minute walk to the Aiguille du Midi lifts (and the famous Vallée  Blanche ski run) or to the Brèvent ski station as well as minutes away  from the 2 nursery slopes of Les Planards and Le Savoy. You are also a 250m walk to the Cham Bus stop which brings you quickly to any other ski station in the area (Grandes Montets, Domaine de Balme, La Flégère, Les Houches etc.).

Central yet calm

Unlike many other apartments in the center of town, the Residence Anna Bouclier is very quiet (double glazed windows and 3 ft thick stone walls help). It is in a small building with only 2 other apartments, set back  from the street level, and right on the river - you will not need to  worry about getting good night's sleep for an early start on the slopes or for your hike or climb. The glacial river keeps the apartment cool  in the heat of summer, and the fireplace and electric heating keeps  it toasty warm in winter.

Unique and authentic character

You will be staying in a unique 250 year-old building that has been around since the early days of Chamonix, not a purpose-built boxy holiday unit.  There is still a legal right of way for cows to be driven to the river in the alleyway (now a sandwich shop) next to our flat! This apartment was our first home in Chamonix and we want you to enjoy staying there.

The apartment is available during the Spring, Summer and Autumn seasons starting May 15th. Winters are run as a full seasonal 5 month rental from December - end April.
